MINUTES OF TF E BOARD OF TRUSTEES
of the
CITY OF 'WEST COVINA
IIVest Covina, Cal., May 2, 1923.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Vest Covina met at the
Vilest Covina. Club House on the end day of May, 192.
Present, Messrs. Anderson, King, Maxson, tiyat s and Yarnell.
Minutes of the meeting of April 25th were read and approved.
A map of a subdivision, beingthat of tract No.6285, which
lies within three miles of the exterior boundaries of the City of
West Covina, was received from the CountySurveyor and upon i'av-
orable report on zaid may by the City Engineer of the City of
Vest Covina, a motion was made by Mr. Watts, and seconded by Mr.
Kin gg, that a resolution be adopted approving the map of said tract
No.6285, and that this action on the part..of the board be communi-
cated to the County Surveyor; motion carried.
Ordinance No.12, entitled "an ordinance authorizing the City
Clerk to obtain from the Count Assessor a certified copy of the
assessment book" came up for .i s second.reading and was read by
the Clerk. Mr. Watts moved, seconded by Mr. Yarnell, that the
said ordinance be placed on its passage, which motion was adopted
by the following vote: byes; Anderson, King, Maxson, Watts and
Yarnell. Noes; None.
On motion of Mr. Watts, seconded by Mr. Yarnell, the said
ordinance was adopted by the following vote: Ayes; Anderson, King,
Maxson, Watts and. Yarnell. Noes; None.
Ordinance DIo.13 entitled "an ordinance regulating certain
places of amusement" came up for its second reading and was read
by the Clerk. Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. Watts, that
the said ordinance be placed on its passage, which motion was
ado�ppted by the following; vote: Ayes; Anderson, King, Maxson,
Watts and Yarnell . Noes.;: None.
On motion of Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mr. Watts, the said
ordinance No.13 was adopted by the following vote: Ayes; Ander-
son, Kina, Maxson, Watts and Yarnell. Noes; None.
Ordinance No.14, entitled "an ordinance regulatin • the use
of certain highways" came up for its second reading and was read
by the Clerk. Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. Yarnell, that
the said, ordinance be.placed on its passage, Which motion was
adopted by the following vote: Ayes; Anderson, King, Maxson,
Watts and. Yarnell. Noes; None.
On motion of Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mr. Yarnell, the said
ordinance No.14 was adopted by the following vote: Ayes; Anderson,
King, Maxson,Watts and Yarnell. Noes; Prone.
Thereupon, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the
board adjourned to meet M.ay �;��1923, at 7 o'clock P.M..
