1) May 10, 2022, Community and Senior Services Commission Special Meeting Minutes.
It is recommended that the Commission approve the May 10, 2022, Community and Senior Services
Commission Special Meeting Minutes.
Motion By: Commissioner Mason, 2nd by: Commissioner Williams, motion carried by a vote
of 6 to 0 with 3 absent.
AYES: Commissioners Mason, Munoz, Valles, Williams, Vice Chair Mullner & Chair Torres.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioners Diaz, Fischer and Gutierrez.
ABSTAIN: None.

AD HOC COMMITTEE REPORTS
Discussion about May 12, 2022, meeting of the subcommittee and their actions to fund non -profits who
provide services within the city, from CDBG funding for fiscal year 2022-2023. These were incorporated
into the action plan and sent to council for review and approval in the June 5, 2022, council meeting.
COMMISSIONERS REPORTS
Chair Robert H. Torres: Attended the ribbon cutting for the new playground at Friendship park and
visited again after that date.
Vice Chair Carole Mullner: Attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the new homes at Rowland &
Azusa on 7/3/2022, tried to attend the blood drive at Ashley furniture which sadly got cancelled, will be
attending the Summerfest that the Historical Society where she will be singing the National Anthem.
Also, Attended the ribbon cutting for the new playground at Friendship park.
Commissioner Gayle Mason: Attended the 4'h of July Parade event. Attended the ribbon cutting for the
new playground at Friendship park.
Commissioner Cecilia Munoz: Attended the ribbon cutting for the new playground at Friendship park
and attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the new homes at Rowland & Azusa on 7/3/2022.
Commissioner Betty Valles: Nothing to report.
Commissioner Alfred Williams: Attended the ribbon cutting for the new playground at Friendship park.
