SUBJECT: REQUEST FROM COUNCILWOMAN LETTY LOPEZ-VIADO REQUESTING THE CITY
COUNCIL'S CONSIDERATION TO DIRECT STAFF TO EXPLORE OPTIONS FOR
BUSINESS LICENSE SERVICES AND FALSE ALARM BILLING.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council discuss and provide staff direction.
DISCUSSION:
Per the City Council's Standing Rules, Councilwoman Letty Lopez-Viado is seeking the City Council's consensus
to direct staff to look at options for business license services and false alarm billing. These services were handled
in-house previously, however were outsourced as a cost -savings measure and due to staffing decreases.
