AB 1234 Conference and Meeting Report (verbal, if any)
CITY COUNCIL REQUESTS FOR REPORTS, STUDIES OR INVESTIGATION
Councilwoman Letty Lopez requested the rules governing Au BnB operations within the city
limits and if there was anything being done to remove the City of West Covina from various
short-term rental sites.
Mayor Pro Tern Wu asked what enforcement measures are in place regarding the Air BnB ban
within the city, and what kind of penalties are we willing to consider?

Council Member Castellanos requested the City Staff could follow up with a request he made to
Air BnB to disallow postings within the city.

The Regular Meeting was adjourned at 10:15 p.m., by Mayor Johnson. The next regularly
scheduled Regular City Council meeting will be held on June 18, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the
