A Regular Meeting was called to order by Mayor Johnson on Tuesday, April 02, 2019 at
7:05 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 1444 West Garvey Avenue South, West Covina,
California.

City Attorney Scott E. Porter reported that only one of the two items under the Closed Session
City Council Meeting was discussed. In addition, he reported that a new item was added to the
agenda regarding the Interim City Manager position.
PRESENTATIONS
National Public Safety Telecommunicators
Police Chief Marc Taylor recognized West Covina Dispatchers as a result of National Public
Safety Telecommunicators Week that is upcoming. Mayor Lloyd Johnson thanks all the
dispatches that were present and presents a proclamation.
Week DMV Donate Life California Month
Mayor Lloyd Johnson calls forward Daniel Lluevanos, City Ambassador, to present a

proclamation for all the work he does regarding organ donors. Mr. Lluevanos gives thanks for the
City of West Covina recognizing Donate a Life Week.
Nikole Bresciani, Acting City Manager/Public Services Director announced that Athens Pickup
Week will now be held in the month of August.

include Interim City Manager and set the salary range at $190,000 to $235,000 in the
following resolution establishing an annual salary for the position of City Manager and

CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS
Mayor Johnson wished to clarify a comment he previously made at the March 19, 2019 meeting,
noting wanting a longer than 30-day BKK RFP.

The Regular City Council meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m., by Mayor Johnson. The next
regularly scheduled Regular City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at
