Resolution - 8294w - RESOLUTION NO. 8294 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 7223 RELATING TO CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION OF POSITIONS, AS • AMENDED; AND FIXING COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS FOR PERSONNEL IN CLASSES REPRESENTED BY THE WEST COVINA CITY GENERAL EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION. WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has met and conferred with the • West Covina City General Employees' Association; and WHEREAS, City and West Covina City General Employees' Association • have agreed upon certain changes in salaries, benefits and working conditions for members of said Union; and WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding has been referred to the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That Resolution No. 7223, as amended, relating to classification and compensation of positions is hereby amended by Appendix A of this resolution thereby fixing compensation and benefits for personnel in classes represented by the West Covina City General Employees' Association. SECTION 2. Medical Insurance. A. Effective the second paycheck in June 1989, the City contribution for its employee flexible benefit program shall be increased by the dollar amount equal to the July 1, 1989 increase in the cost of the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan subject to a maximum additional contribution of $15. B. Effective the second paycheck in June 1990, the City contribution for its flexible benefit program shall be increased by a dollar amount equivalent to the 1990 increase in the cost of the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, subject to a maximum additional contribution of $15. The City has a flexible benefit program. The amount specified for health care coverage shall be $16 per month per active employee as of July 1, 1990. C. Effective the second paycheck in June 1991, the City contribution for its flexible benefit program shall be increased by a dollar amount equivalent to the 1991 increase in the cost of the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, subject to a maximum additional City contribution of $15. The City has a flexible benefit program. The amount specified for health care coverage shall be $16 per month per active employee. D. Effective July 1, 1990, the City shall adopt a resolution electing to make the health insurance programs offered through the Public Employees Medical and Health Care Act available to employees represented by the Union. Effective July 1, 1990, the City shall adopt a resolution electing to make the retiree health insurance programs offered through the Public Employees' Medical and Hospital Care Act available to employees represented by the Union. The City has a flexible benefit program. The amount specified for health care coverage shall be $16 per month per retired employee as of July 1, 1990. SECTION 4. Dental Insurance.
