Resolution - 8280• • • RESOLUTION NO. 8280 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. III-88-2 (LAND USE ELEMENT) TO THE GENERAL PLAN. (Miden Corporation) WHEREAS, the City received a request to reconsider the land use designation of certain property described herein as set forth in the General Plan; and WHEREAS, said property described as follows: That portion of of West Covina, California, as county. lot 4 of Tract No. 930, in the City County of Los Angeles, State of per map county recorder of said The Westerly 40 feet of the Southerly 125 feet of the Northerly 875 feet of Lot 3 of Tract No. 9301 in the City of West Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 17 pages 38 and 39 of maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said county. That portion of Lot 3 of Tract No. 930, in the City of West Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 17 pages 38 and 39 of maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said county. WHEREAS, the aforesaid applicant has submitted a request for a change of zone from "Single Family Residential" (R-1) and "Residential Agricultural (R-A)" to "Multi -Family, 15 units per acre (MF-15)"; and WHEREAS, this General Plan Amendment is filed in conjunction with Zone Change No. 611, Tentative Parcel Map No. 19410, Precise Plan No. 808 and Unclassified Use Permit No. 353. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the recommendations made by the Planning staff in a report dated November 2, 1988, at a duly noticed public hearing on said date and has concurred with said report, and has reviewed the Final Environmental Impact Report and request for a General Plan Amendment. • WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the recommendations made by the Planning staff in a report dated November 2, 1988, at duly noticed public hearings on said date and has concurred with said report, and has reviewed the Final Environmental Impact Report and request for a General Plan Amendment. • WHEREAS, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 11-88-3686 recommending to the City Council adoption of General Plan Amendment No. III-88-2; and WHEREAS, on November 28, 1988, the City Council conducted a duly noticed public hearing to consider General Plan Amendment No. III-88-2. c Page 2 Resb 8280 E E • • • NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION NO. 1: After receiving and considering all determinations, studies, documents, and recommendations, as well as other appropriate public comments, the City Council of the City of West Covina hereby adopts General Plan Amendment No. III-88-2 changing the land use designation from "Low Medium Residential" to "Medium Residential." SECTION NO. 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. ATTEST: ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 19th day of December, 1988.
