Resolution - 8252• 0 :7 RESOLUTION NO. 8252 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, REVISING THE BOUNDARIES OF UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 2. WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 4484 in December, 1971, recreating Underground Utility District No. 2, and WHEREAS, it is desired to expand said District by adding area in the vicinity of Vincent Avenue between Garvey Avenue South and Garvey Avenue North, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Engineer having filed this report with the City Council recommending the boundary revision of Underground Utility District No. 2, the City Council, upon notice given as required by law, having held a public hearing upon the revision of said district, the City Council hereby finds that the public necessity, health and welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures and the underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric communication or similar or associated services within the territory included in Underground Utility District No 2 as hereinafter described. SECTION 2. Underground Utility District No. 2 is hereby revised to consist of that territory included within the following described boundaries: See atta-ched EXHIBIT "A" for legal description See attached EXHIBIT "B" for map SECTION 3. The City Council hereby finds that a reasonable time within which to remove poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures and the underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication or similar or associated services within the revised Underground Utility District No. 2 is July 1, 1990. All such overhead facilities shall be removed and installed underground and all affected property owners shall be ready to receive underground service prior to that date. SECTION 4. Within ten days after the date of the adoption of this resolution the City Clerk shall notify all utilities having lines or facilities with the revised Underground Utility District No. 2 and all persons owning real property within the district of the adoption of this resolution. Notification shall be made by mailing a copy of this reolution, a copy of Article V of Chapter 23 of the West Covina Municipal Code together with a statement that if the owner or occupant of property within the district desires to continue to receive electric, communication or similar or associated service, it will be necessary to provide those facility changes on the premises required to receive such service from the lines of the supplying utility or utilities at a new underground location. • • 0 0 SECTION 5.
