RESOLUTION NO. 8149
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE A CORPORATION QUITCLAIM DEED IN
FAVOR OF GLEN VINE SQUARE, LTD.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West Covina does hereby
find and determine that:
An easement for sanitary sewer purposes in, over, across and
through that portion of a strip of land 10.00 feet wide, in
Lots 162 and 163 of E. J. Baldwin's Fourth Subdivision -of a
portion of Rancho La Puente, in the City of West Covina,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, as shown on map
recorded in Book 8, at Page 186 of Maps, on file in the
office of the County Recorder of said County together with
rights of ingress, egress, construction, repairing, replac-
ing and maintenance of said sanitary sewer and the appurten-
ance therefor, being a strip of land 10.00 feet in width,
lying 5.00 feet on each side of the following described
center line.
Beginning at a point on the Northwesterly right-of-way line
of Glendora Avenue, 100.00 feet wide, said point being
South 420-56'-10" West 200.90 feet, along said right-of-way
line, from the Northeasterly line of said Lot 162; thence
North 120-08'-21" West 30.24 feet; thence North 48°-07'-18"
West 380.80 feet, parallel with the Southwesterly line of
said Lot 162; thence North 3°-07'-18" West 21.72 feet;
thence North 48°-07'-18" West 124.48 feet, more or less,
parallel with said Southwesterly line, to a point in a line
that is parallel with and distant 5.00 feet, Southeasterly
measured at right angles, from the Southeasterly line of the
Northwesterly 618.00 feet of said Lots 162 and 163; thence
North 41°-53'-00" East 488.00 feet, along said last mentioned
parallel line
is no longer needed for public purposes for which it was acquired or for
any other public purpose; that the public convenience and necessity
require that the same be quitclaimed to Glen Vine Square, Ltd.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
instructed to execute in the name of the City of West Covina a Quitclaim
Deed conveying all right, title and interest of the City of West Covina
in and to said real property to Glen Vine Square, Ltd., and cause the
said Quitclaim Deed and a certified copy of this resolution to be filed
for record in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Los
Angeles.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
