• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA DETERMINING THAT A SUBSTANTIAL NUMBER OF LOW -
AND MODERATE -INCOME FAMILIES ARE NOT TO BE DISPLACED
BY THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE EASTLAND
• REDEVELOPMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, the boundaries for the proposed amendment to the East-
land Redevelopment Project Area have been selected by the Planning Com-
mission as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment to the Eastland Redevelopment
Plan does not propose any projects at this time which will displace a
substantial number of low- and moderate -income families; and
WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Law provides that the
legislative body of a city shall call upon the residents and existing
community organizations in a redevelopment project area in which a sub-
stantial number of low- and moderate -income families are to be dis-
placed by a redevelopment project to form a Project Area Committee for
said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is hereby found and
determined that, pursuant to the Community Redevelopment Law, a sub-
stantial number of low- and moderate -income families are not to be dis-
placed by the proposed amendment to the Eastland Redevelopment Plan.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this resolution.
