Resolution - 8108• RESOLUTION NO. 8108 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, PROCLAIMING OCTOBER 19 THROUGH 24, 1987 AS WATER AWARENESS WEEK. WHEREAS, water is California's most precious natural resource; and WHEREAS, the health and welfare of the people and the state's economic growth depend on a reliable and safe supply of water; and WHEREAS, water also provides Californians with recreation and beauty as well as enhances fish and wildlife habitats; and WHEREAS, because water plays such a vital role in our everyday lives, it is important that individuals understand how water is developed, treated and delivered; and WHEREAS, during the week of October 19, 1987, water agencies will work to increase the public's understanding of how quality water is delivered to the people of California. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. Proclaim October 19 through 24, 1987, as Water Awareness Week. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of Sept. , 1987.
