Resolution - 8071RESOLUTION NO. 8071 • A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A GRANT OF EASEMENT IN FAVOR OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT. The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as • follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West Covina does hereby find and determine that the public convenience and necessity require that a Grant of Easement be executed in favor of Los Angeles County Flood Control District for storm drain purposes over certain City owned property as described in the attached Exhibit "A" and by reference hereto made a part hereof. SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and instructed to execute in the name of the City of West Covina a Grant of Easement, conveying all right, title and interest of the City of West Covina in addition to said real property, to Los Angeles County Flood Control District, in favor of Los Angeles County Flood Control District for storm drain purposes, and cause said Grant of Easement to be filed for record in the office of the County Recorder of said county. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. City Attorney EXHIBIT "A" • That portion of that part of Parcel 4, as shown on map filed in Book 85, pages 10, 11, and 12, of Record of Surveys, in the office of the Registrar -Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, described in deed to City of West Covina, recorded on July 26, 1977, as Document No. 77-809042, of Official Records, in the office of said Registrar -Recorder, within a strip of land 10 feet wide, lying 5 feet on each side of the following - described line: • Commencing at the most easterly corner of Lot 68, Tract No. 31481, as shown on map filed in Book 857, pages 6, 7, and 8, the northeasterly line of said Lot 68, N. 270 49' 11" W. 12.81 feet to the true point of beginning, said point also being the beginning of a non -tangent curve, concave to the south and having a radius of 45 feet, a radial of said curve to said point bears N. 1° 25' 55" W.; thence westerly and south- westerly along said curve, through a,central angle of 26' 23' 16" an arc distance of 20.73 feet; thence tangent to said.curve, S. 62' 10' 49" W. 105.74 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave to the north and having a radius of 400 feet; thence southwesterly and westerly along said curve, through a central angle of 27° 31'.04" an arc distance of 192.11 feet; thence tangent to said curve, S: 89' 41' 53" W. 166.09 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave to the north and having a radius of 360 feet; thence westerly and northwesterly along said curve, through a central angle of 37' 01' 05" an arc distance of 232.59 feet; . thence tangent to said curve, N. 53' 17' 02" W. 143.90 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave to the northeast and having a radius of 45 feet; thence northwesterly along said curve, through a central angle of 21° 52' 17" and arc distance of 17.18 feet; thence tan- gent to said curve, N..31° 24' 45" W. 103.01 feet to the southerly boundary of Tract No. 31102, as shown on map filed in Book, pages 10 and 11, of said Maps. The side lines of the above -described strip of land shall be prolonged or shortened at the ending so as to terminate in said southerly boundary. •
