AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 7223,
RELATING TO
CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION OF
POSITIONS AS
AMENDED; AND APPENDIX A OF RESOLUTION
NO. 7127, THE
CITY SALARY RANGE STRUCTURE FOR EMPLOYEES
IN THE WEST
COVINA CITY GENERAL EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION,
AS AMENDED;
AND AFFIXING COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS FOR
PERSONNEL IN
CLASSES REPRESENTED BY THE WEST COVINA
CITY GENERAL
EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION

WHEREAS, THE
City of West Covina has met and conferred with the
West Covina City General
Employees' Association; and
WHEREAS, the
City of West Covina and the West Covina City General
Employees' Association
have mutually agreed in a Memorandum of
Understanding;
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Salary. That Appendix A of Resolution No. 7127, the
City's salary range structure for employees in the West Covina City General
Employees' Association, as amended, is hereby amended by Exhibit A of this
resolution and Resolution No. 7223, as amended, relating to classification
and compensation of positions, is hereby amended by this resolution.
SECTION 2. The City salary range structure for employees in
classes represented by the West Covina City General Employees' Association
shall be increased pursuant to Exhibit A which is on file in the Personnel
Services Department.
SECTION 3. Health and Welfare
(a) Effective the second paycheck in June 1987, the City shall
increase the contribution toward the payment of premiums for City
contracted insurance coverage by a dollar amount equal to the July 1, 1987,
increase in the cost of the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan. The City
increase shall not exceed $15.
(b) Effective the second paycheck in June 1988, the City shall
increase the contribution toward the payment of premiums for City
contracted insurance coverage by a dollar amount equal to the July 1, 1988,
increase in the cost of the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan. The City
increase shall not exceed $15.
SECTION 4. Holidays
(a) Effective 1987, and thereafter, the City will recognize
Washington's Birthday observed as an official City holiday.
(b) Effective 1987, and thereafter, the City will recognize
Veteran's Day holiday as a floating holiday.
SECTION 5. Court Standby Pay. Court standby pay as covered in
Section 3.15, A.2 of the Personnel Rules shall be increased from $25 to
$30.
SECTION 6. Budget Allocation. That the City Council does hereby
allocate an amount of money sufficient to fund the salary and budget
adjustments for the life of this resolution, and authorize transfer of
funds for these purposes from Project No. 79033.
SECTION 7. The effective date of this resolution is January 1,
1987.
SECTION 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
