A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
• COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 7223,
RELATING TO CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION OF POSITIONS,
AS AMENDED; AND APPENDIX A OF RESOLUTION NO. 7126,
THE CITY'S SALARY RANGE STRUCTURE FOR EMPLOYEES IN
THE CALIFORNIA LEAGUE OF CITY EMPLOYEE ASSOCIATIONS,
INC., AS AMENDED; IN FIXING COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
FOR PERSONNEL IN THE CLASSES REPRESENTED BY THE CALIFORNIA
LEAGUE OF CITY EMPLOYEE ASSOCIATIONS, INC.
• WHEREAS, the City of West Covina has met and conferred with
the California League of City Employee Associations; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina and the California League of
City Employee Associations have mutually agreed in a Memorandum of Under-
standing;
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Salary That Appendix A of Resolution No. 7126,
the City's salary range structure for employees in the California League
of City Employee Associations, Inc., is hereby amended by Exhibit A of
this resolution; and Resolution No. 7223, relating to classification and
compensation of positions, as amended, is hereby amended by this resolution.
SECTION 2. The City's salary range structure for employees
in the California League of City Employee Associations, Inc., shall be
increased pursuant to Exhibit A which is on file in the Personnel Services
Department.
SECTION 3. Health and Welfare
(a) Effective the second paycheck in June 1987, the City shall
increase the contribution for employees' health insurance by a dollar
amount equal to the July 1, 1987, increase in the cost of Kaiser Foundation
Health Plan. The City increase shall not exceed $15.
(b) Effective the second paycheck in June 1988, the City shall
increase the contribution toward the payment of premiums for City contracted
insurance coverage by a dollar amount equal to July 1, 1988, increase
in the cost of the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan. The City increase shall
not exceed $15.
SECTION 4. Holidays Section 10.5 Holidays of Personnel Resolu-
tion No. 7223, shall be amended as follows:
(a) Effective 1987 and thereafter, the City will recognize Washington's
Birthday observed as an official City holiday.
(b) Effective 1987 and thereafter, the City will recognize Veteran's
• Day Holiday as a floating holiday.
SECTION 5. Budget Allocation - That the City Council does hereby
allocate an amount of money sufficient to fund these salary and benefit
adjustments for the life of this resolution, and authorize the transfer
of funds for these purposes from Project No..79033.
SECTION G. The effective date of this resolution is January 1,
1987.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
