A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ALL RUBBISH
AND REFUSE UPON, AND ALL WEEDS GROWING UPON
SPECIFIED STREETS AND PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN
SAID CITY TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO REMOVE AND ABATE THE SAME
UNDER AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS
OF TITLE 4, DIVISION 3, PART 2, CHAPTER 13,
ARTICLE 2, OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE.
• THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
It is he.r.e,by found, determined and declared that rubbish and refuse
exist upon the herinafter described parkways, streets, and private property
within the City of West Covina, and weeds which bear seeds of a wingy and/or
downy nature and/or attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace
when dry, and/or which are otherwise noxious and/or dangerous, are growing
upon the streets, sidewalks, and private properties in the City of West Covina,
California, described in Exhibit A hereinafter referred to.
That pursuant to the provisions of Article 2, Chapter 13, Part 2,
Division 3, Title 4, of the California Government Code, such rubbish and refuse
existing at and such weeds growing in or upon streets, sidewalks, parkways,
or private property at the locations set forth and more particularly described
in that certain list hereunto attached, marked "Exhibit A", and by this refer-
ence incorporated in and made a part thereof, are determined and declared
to be a public nuisance which must be abated by the removal thereof.
1. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to
mail a "Notice to Destroy Weeds and to Remove Rubbish and Refuse", substantially
in the form specified in Section 39566 of the Government Code, to all owners
of said property at the time and manner specified in said Government Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council will, at the time of
its regular meeting on January 27, 1986, at 8:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall of said City, hear and consider all objections to the proposed
removal of weeds, rubbish, and refuse.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the adop-
tion of this resolution.

NOTICE TO DESTROY I 1 REMOVE RUBBISH

NOTICE is hereby given that on the January 13, 1986 , the City Council of the City of West Covina passed
Resolution No. 7137 declaring that noxious or dangerous weeds were growing upon or in front of the property
on this street, and that rubbish, refuse, and dirt were upon or in front of property on this street in the City
of West Covina, and more particularly described in the resolution, and that they constitute a public nuisance which
must be abated by the removal of the weeds, rubbish, and dirt. Otherwise, they will be removed and the nuisance
abated by the City and the cost of removal assessed upon the land upon or in front of which the weeds, rubbish,
refuse, and dirt are removed and will constitute a lien upon such land until paid. Reference is hereby made to
the resolution for further particulars. Copies of said resolution are on file in the office of the City Clerk.
All property owners having any objections to the proposed removal of the weeds, rubbish, refuse, and dirt are
hereby notified to attend a meeting of the City Council of the City of West Covina to be held January 27,
1986 , when their objections will be heard and given due consideration.

Removal of weeds and rubbish will be undertaken on or about January 31, 19 86. Any property not cleared to the
satisfaction of the Chief of,the Fire Department will be cleared after the above date by the City's contractor.
Subsequent removal of weeds and rubbish during 19 86 is scheduled for approximately May 1 and October 1.
