A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
• CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 1985-4A (LAND USE ELEMENT)
TO THE GENERAL PLAN AND CERTIFYING THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AS IT RELATES THERETO. (Planning
Commission Resolution No. 11-85-3421)
The City Council of the City of West Covina, California, does
resolve as follows:
• WHEREAS, to increase the effectiveness of the project
an additional adjacent residential lot was acquired to be
included in the expansion of the West Covina Auto,__P.laza of the
Central Business District development project -area amended by
the City Council on December 10, 1984 and September 9, 1985;
and
WHEREAS, to allow the inclusion of this property in
the plan, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No.
11-85-3421, recommending adoption of General Plan Amendment No.
1985-4A (Land Use Element) changing the land use designation
from low medium residential to Service and Neighborhood
Commercial.
WHEREAS, on November 25, 1985, the City Council of
the City of West Covina, California conducted a duly advertised
public hearing on General Plan Amendment No. 1985-4A (Land Use
Element) and the Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact
relating thereto and has concluded that the proposed amendment
is consistent with the goals and policies of the City's adopted
General Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
does hereby adopt General Plan Amendment No. 1985-4A and
certify the Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact as it
relates thereto as being in compliance with the requirements of
the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 (CEQA), as
amended.
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall certify
to the adoption of the resolution.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 25th day of November, 1985.
