A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 6814 RELATING TO SALARIES AND BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYEES
REPRESENTED BY THE WEST COVINA POLICE OFFICER'S ASSOCIATION,
AND RESOLUTION NO. 1277 AS AMENDED RELATING TO COMPENSATION
AND CLASSIFICATION OF POSITIONS; AND FIXING THE COMPENSATION
• AND BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYEES IN THE WEST COVINA POLICE OFFICER'S
ASSOCIATION
•l!HEREAS, the CITY of West Covina has met and conferred with
representatives of the West Covina Police Officier's Associatiom, and
WHEREAS, the City and representatives of the West Covina Police
•Officer's Association have agreed upon certain changes in salaries,
benefits and working conditions for members of said Association, and
WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding has been referred
to the City Council,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina
does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That Attachment "A" of Resolution No. 6814 and
Section VI of Resolution No. 1277 are hereby amended by Attachment "A"
of this resolution.
SECTION 2. HEALTH AND WELFARE
A. Effective July 1, 1985, the City shall increase the contribution
for employee health insurance by a dollar amount equal to the
July 1, 1985, increase in the cost of the Kaiser Foundation Health
Plan. The City increase shall not exceed $35.
B. The City shall make its increased contribution as set forth in
"A" above effective with the last pay period in June 1985, in order
to meet the prepaid requirements of the health insurance carrier.
SECTION 3. SICK LFAVF
Section XIII. Sick Leave (c) of Personnel Resolution No. 1277
shall be amended as follows: '
Five (5) days per calendar year will be provided for death
of a parent, spouse, children, brothers and sisters.
SECTION 4. UNIFORMS
Effective January 1, 1985, the annual uniform allowance for.
for sworn employee -members, shall be two hundred -and twenty five dollars
( $225.00) per year.
SECTION 4. BUDGET ALLOCATION
That the City Council does herby allocate an amount of money
• sufficient to fund these salary and benefit adjustments for the life of
this Resolution, and authorize the transfer of funds for these purposes
from Project 79030.

SECTION 5. The effective date of this resolution is
40 January 1, 1985.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
