Resolution - 6964RESOLUTION NO. 6964 • A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING TO ESTABLISH- MENT OF A PORTION OF FRANCISQUITO AVENUE WITHIN • SAID CITY AS A PART OF THE SYSTEM OF HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES •WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors did on December 11, 1984 duly adopt a Resolution declaring that portion of Francisquito Avenue from 125 feet east of Siesta Avenue to 240 feet east of Willow Avenue and intersecting streets appurtenant to the construc- tion thereof, within the City of West Covina, to be apart of the System of Highways of the County of Los Angeles, all as provided in Sections 1700 to 1704 inclusive of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, said Board of Supervisors by said Resolution re- quested this Council to give its consent to allow the County to construct improvements and perform appurtenant work within said portion in the City of West Covina described above; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 15301, Class 1 (c) of the State Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental Act, the Secretary of Resources designated this typeiof project as categorically exempt: NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. Consent to Inclusion in County Highways System. This City Council does hereby consent to the establishment of the portion of Francisquito Avenue from 125 feet east of Siesta Avenue to 240 feet east of Willow Avenue and intersecting streets appur- tenant to the construction thereof, within the City of West Covina, as a part of the System of Highways of the County of Los Angeles as provided in Sections 1700 to 1704 inclusive of the Streets and High- ways Code of the State of California. Said consent is for the pur- pose of constructing improvements and performing appurtenant work as may be necessary by the County of Los Angeles. SECTION 2. Finding of Categorical Exemption._ This City Council does hereby find that the project is categorically exempt from the requirement for an Environmental Impact Report pursuant to Section 15301, Class 1 (c) of the State Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970. SECTION 3. Finding of a Minor Nature.
