Resolution - 6803RESOLUTION NO. 6803 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY • OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 6437, 6482 AND 6779 RELATING TO MANAGEMENT AND CONFIDENTIAL SERVICES WHEREAS, a core of administrative professionals, more commonly known as the management team, has been established; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to update resolutions per- taining to management and confidential -exempt salaries from time to time; and WHEREAS, Council has established that annual adjust- ments to the City Manager, City Treasurer, management employees and confidential employees are granted as in the General Em- ployee's representation unit. Annual increases for management employees in the Fire and Police Departments are granted as in their respective employee units; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That Communications Supervisors receive compensatory time off at time and one-half for which the compen- satory time option is available and which would be paid at time and one-half if taken in overtime. • SECTION 2. That Communications Supervisors receive an increase in uniform allowance of $25.00 to $150.00 per year. SECTION 3. That Resolutions 6437, 6482 and 6779 re- lating to management confidential services are hereby amended. SECTION 4. That Attachment "A," Management and Con- fidential Salary Range A of Resolution 6482 and Exhibit A of Resolution 6779 are hereby amended by Attachment "A" of this resolution, which is on file in the Personnel Department. SECTION 5. That Section 2D2 of Resolution No. 6437 establishing a Range "B" and the criteria for awarding Range "B" assignments to employees whose value exceeds normal expectations, and Exhibit A of Resolution 6779 are hereby amended. The maximum Range "B" salary allowable shall exceed the top of Range "A" as amended in Attachment A of this resolution by fifteen (15%) percent. SECTION 6. BUDGET ALLOCATION That the City Council does hereby allocate an amount of money sufficient to fund these salary adjustments and benefits for the life of this resolution, and authorize the transfer of funds for these purposes from Project No. 79030. • SECTION 7. The remaining provisions of Resolutions 6437, 6482 and 6779 remain in full force and effect until amended or repealed by resolution of the City Council. SECTION 8. The effective date of this resolution is January 1, 1984. SECTION 9. The City Clerk shall certify to the adop- tion of this resolution.
