4) Award of Bid
Award of Bid for City Entrance Monument Signs
(Project No. SP-06102)
It is recommended that the City Council take the following actions:
I . Accept the bid of Hondo Company in the amount of $123,900 as submitted at
the bid opening on October 11, 2005, and authorize the Public Works
Director/City Engineer and City Clerk to execute the contract. This work will
include the negotiation of change orders to allow for the optional signs to be
located on North Azusa Avenue, Amar Road, and South Azusa Avenue.
2. Authorize staff to issue a change order to install solar cell powered lighting on
the entrance signs at a total change order cost not to exceed $10,000.
3. Appropriate $10,000 from General Fund (110) for solar cell powered lighting
installation.
