RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND ORDERING
THE REORGANIZATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY,,
• DESIGNATED AS "SOUTHERLY ANNEXATION NO. 239" TO
THE CITY OF WEST COVINA (DETACHMENT FROM THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES AND CONSOLIDATED FIRE
PROTECTION DISTRICT)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS, a resolution of application for the proposed
reorganization of territory, designated as "Southerly Annexation
No. 239" to the City of West Covina (Detachment from the County
of Los Angeles and Consolidated Fire Protection District)', was
filed with the. Local Agency Formation Commission pursuant to the
District Reorganization Act of 1965 (Division 1 [commencing
with Section 56000] of Title 6 of the Government Code)-; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission on January
12, 1982,,aoproved the reorganization subject to the condition that
the territory also be withdrawn from th&'Garo. Lighting District,
Road District No. 1, and the Consolidated Sewer Maintenance District,
.designated the City Council of the City of West Covina as the con-
ducting authority and authorized said City Council to proceed with-
out notice and hearing pursuant to Government Code 'Section 56261;
and
. WHEREAS, the subject property will'not be taxed for any
bonded indebtedness or contractual obligations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED.as follows:
1. Preliminary proceedings for reorganization were
commenced by resolution of application by the City Council of the
City of West Covina.
2. The affected agencies are: The County„of Los Angeles,
the City of west Covina, and the,Consolidated Fire Protection District.
3. The territory has.' -been determined by the Local Agency
Formation Commission to be uninhabited and said territory.has..been
given the following short --term. designation: "Southerly Annexation
District No.2.39", to the City of West Covina (Detachment from the
County of Los Angeles and Consolidated Fire Protection - District
4. As -authorized by and in compliance with the Commission's
Resolution Noo L9$3 l'. said organization is -hereby approved and
ordered without notice and hearing pursuant to Government Code Section
56261 and said territory is also ordered. withdrawn from the Garo
Lighting District, Road District No. l,, and the Consolidated Sewer
Maintenance District.
5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
file certified conies of.th is resolution, together with the required
State Board of Equalization fee, with the Local Agency Formation
Commission.

FINALLY RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall certify.to
the adoption of this resolution.
