RESOLUTION NO. .6416
A RESOLUTION.OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE VACATION
OF CERTAIN PORTIONS. OF CAMERON AVENUE.
The City Council of the City of West. Covina does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City'Council of the City of West.Covina does
hereby find, determine, and declare as follows:
(a) That on the 27th•day of July, 1981, at a regular meet-
ing of said Council, Resolution No. 6399 was duly adopted by a vote
of said Council setting the time for hearing on the proposed vacation
of certain portions of.Cameron Avenue located within the City of
West Covina.
(b) That said area proposed to be vacated is more particularly
described as follows:
PARCEL 1
That portion of Lot 113 and a portion of Orange Avenue 70.00 feet
wide, formerly Irwindale Avenue, of E. J. Baldwin's 4th Subdivision
of Rancho La Puente, in the City of West Covina, in the County of
Los Angeles, State of California, as shown on map recorded in Book
8, Page 186 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said
County, described as follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 113, thence North
410 15' 27" East 108.13 feet to a point; thence North 860 33' 52"
East 16.16 feet to the True Point of Beginning:
Thence South 530 25' 27" West 11.65 feet to'the beginning of a
tangent curve concave northerly and having a radius of 40.00 feet;
thence northwesterly along said curve through -a central angle of
770 50' 00" an arc distance of 54..34 feet; thence tangent to said
curve, North 480 44' 33." West 45.44 feet to the beginning of a
tangent curve concave northeasterly and having a radius of 967.50
feet last mentioned curve being concentric and 32.50 feet north-
easterly, measured radially, from the existing construction center-
line of Cameron Avenue; thence northwesterly along said curve
through a central angle of 200 13' 41" an arc length of 341.57 feet
to a point, a radial line from said point'bearing North 610 29' 08"
East; thence along said parcel line North 610 29' 08" East 45.54 feet
to the northeasterly corner of.parcel 12 of State Relinquishment No.
910, per S.H.M.B. No. 14, Page 9 of official records being a point
on a non -tangent curve -concave northeasterly having a radius of
900.00 feet, a radial line from said last mentioned point bears
North 670 14' 06" East; thence southeasterly, along last mentioned
curve, and northeasterly boundary of said Parcel 12, through a
central angle of 240 42' 16" an arc distance of 388.06 feet; thence
North 860 33-'- 52" East 44.44 feet to the True Point of Beginning.

That portion of Lot 112 and Lot 113 of.E. J. Baldwin's.4th Sub-

Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 113, thence
South 41 15' 27",West 29.23 feet to the.most southerly corner
of Parcel-,12 of State Relinquishment No. 910 per S.H.M.B. No. 14,

the southwesterly boundary of said Parcel 12, 28.28 feet;
thence continuing along said boundary, North 480 44' 33" West
15.00 feet to the True Point of Beginning;
Thence continuing along said boundary North 480 44' 33" West
95.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the
northeast and having a radius of 1200.00 feet; thence contin-
uing along said.boundary, northwesterly along said curve
through a central angle of 060 58' 03" an arc distance of
145.93 feet; thence continuing along said boundary North 400
42' 57" West 12.55 feet' thence North 520 46' 35" East 31.58
feet to a point on a curve concave northeasterly and having a
radius of 1032.5 feet last mentioned curve being concentric
and 32.50 feet southwesterly, measured radially, from the
existing construction centerline of Cameron Avenued a radial
line from said last mentioned point bears North 52 46' 35"
East; thence southeasterly along last mentioned curve through a
central angle of 110 31' 08" an arc distance of 207.58 feet
thence tangent to last mentioned curve, South 480 44' 33" East
40.51 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave westerly
and having a radius of 25.00 feet; thence southwesterly along
last mentioned curve through a central angle of 900 00' 00"
an arc distance of 39.27 feet; thence tangent to last mentioned.
curve, South 410 15' 27" West 20.76 feet to the beginning of
a tangent curve concave westerly and having a radius of 25.00
feet thence northeasterly along said curve through an angle
of 900 00' 00" an arc distance of 39.27 feet to the True Point
of Beginning.
Reserving from Parcel 1 and Parcel 2 above, an easement for
utility lighting and traffic control purposes over a five
foot (5') wide strip of land located between thirty-two and
one-half feet (32.50') and thirty-seven and one-half feet (37.50')
from the centerline of Cameron Avenue and wi`thin.five feet (5')
of the new street right-of-way line returns at Orange Avenue
as described in Parcels 1 and 2 above.
Access from Parcels 1 and 2 above to Cameron Avenue is prohibited.
(c) That on the 24th day of August,. 1981, at a
regular Council Meeting, the said City Council did hold a public
hearing to determine whether the said area above -described should
be vacated as a public street.
SECTION 2. It hereby is found, determined, and
declared by the City -,Council of the City of West Covina, after
hearing the evidence adduced, that the above -described portions
of Cameron Avenue within the City of West Covina is not
necessary for present or prospective public street purposes and
the general welfare and convenience of the City of West Covina
require that -the same be vacated. The said portions of Cameron
Avenue above -described hereby is vacated as a public street.

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and cause the same to be recorded
with the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles
and to file all other necessary documents in order that this
vacation become effective.
