Resolution - 6415RESOLUTION NO. 6415 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, RESCINDING RESO- LUTIONS NO. 6395 AND NO. 6404 WHEREAS, on June 20, 1981 and June 30, 1981, the City Council of West Covina adopted two resolutions authorizing the Council or certain of its members to file written arguments regarding ballot measures pursuant to Section 5016 of the Elections Code; and WHEREAS, the adoption of the resolutions simply satisfied a statute of the Elections Code requiring that in the event the Council or certain of its members were to file arguments, they must first be authorized to do _so by the legislative body; and WHEREAS, the City Council later determined that the adoption of the resolutions mislead some of the citizenry of West Covina into believing that no other written arguments could be submitted regarding the ballot measures and rescinded those two adopted resolutions in their entirety. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City -of West Covina, California, does hereby resolve, declare, determine and order as follows: SECTION 1. Resolution No. 6395, adopted June 20, 1981, is rescinded in its entirety. SECTION 2. Resolution No. 6404, adopted June 30, 1981, is rescinded • in its entirety. SECTION 3.
