RESOLUTION NO. 6277
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA,CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING.A COURT -ASSIGNED
STANDBY PAY PROGRAM FOR SWORN EMPLOYEES IN THE CITY'S
POLICE DEPARTMENT.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. In conformance .with.'`__'continuing Resolution
No. 6265, reserving the Council's right to grant retroactive improve-
ments in wages and benefits to employee -members of the West Covina
Police Officer's Association, the City Council does hereby establish
a court -assigned standby pay program for sworn employees of the West
Covina Police Department.
SECTION 2. The City will pay $35 for each occasion a sworn
employee is placed on standby by the courts, provided such standby
occurs beyond the employee's_ regularly -assigned work shift. The $35
payment will be the maximum paid to any sworn police employee for all
standby assignments in one day. This program will be retroactive to
January 1, 1981.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
