JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA APPROVING AND ACCEPTING NEGOTIATED EXCHANGE
• OF PROPERTY TAX REVENUES RESULTING FROM ANNEXATION OF
UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF WEST COVINA
"SOUTHERLY ANNEXATION NO. 235"
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 99 of the Revenue and
Taxation Code, prior to the effective date of any jurisdictional
change the governing bodies of all agencies whose service areas
or service responsibilities would be altered by such change must
determine the amount of property tax revenues to be exchanged
between the affected agencies and approve and accept the nego-
tiated exchange of property tax revenues by resolution; but
if the affected agency is a special district, the Board of
Supervisors must negotiate on behalf of the district; and
• WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Los Angeles and the City Council of the City of West Covina have
determined that the amount of property tax revenues to be
exchanged between. their respective agencies as a result of the
annexation of unincorporated territory to the City of West Covina,
entitled "Southerly Annexation No. 235" is as set forth below.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. The negotiated exchange'of property tax revenues
between the County of Los Angeles and the City of West Covina
resulting from the annexation of unincorporated territory to the
City in the annexation entitled "Southerly Annexation No. 235"
is approved and accepted.

2. For fiscal years commencing on and after July 1,
1981, property tax revenue in the amount of Thirty Dollars
($30) is ordered transferred from the County of Los Angeles
• to the City of West Covina. In addition, for each fiscal year
commencing on and after July 1, 1981, Twenty and Five -Tenths
Percent (20.5%) of Los Angeles County's share of the incre-
mental tax growth attributable to the "Southerly Annexation
No. 235" area shall be transferred to the City of West Covina.
3. For fiscal years commencing on and after July 1,
19811 all property tax revenue received by the Consolidated
Fire Protection District of Los Angeles County attributable to
the West Covina "Southerly Annexation No. 235" area shall be
transferred to the County of Los Angeles.
4. For fiscal years commencing on and after July 1,

5. No additional transfer of property tax revenues shall
be made from a special district to the City of West Covina as a
result of this annexation.

inclusive of Maps, in the office of the'Recorder of the County
of Los Angeles, and the northeasterly prolongation of the
northwesterly line of Lot 83 of said tract, said intersection
being a point in the boundary of the City of West Covina as same
existed on December 17, 1980; thence South 61° 43' 42" West along
said prolongation a distance of 60 feet to the most northerly
corner of said lot; thence South 28° 16' 18" East along the
northeasterly line of said lot and its southeasterly prolongation
a distance.of 334.91 feet to the westerly line of said Pass and
Covina Road; thence South 180 02' 05" West along said westerly
line a distance of 101.62 feet to the northwesterly line of
Azusa Avenue, 110 feet wide, as shown on County Surveyor's Map
No. B-2949, on file in the office of the County Engineer of said
county; thence northeasterly along said last mentioned northwesterly
line to said northeasterly line of Pass and Covina Road; thence
