Resolution - 6213RESOLUTION NO. 6213 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE CORTEZ PARK SPECIFIC PLAN (AMENDMENT 1) AND CERTIFYING THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT THEREFOR. • The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The Specific Plan of " Cortez Park is a part of the implementation of the Environmental Quality Element of the adopted General Plan of the City of West Covina. SECTION 2. The Recreation and Park Commission and the Planning Commission have reviewed and approved the Amendment to said Specific Plan. SECTION 3. It has been determined that the development of the park in accordance with the Specific Plan Amendment will have no significant impact on the environment. SECTION 4. A public hearing has been provided and testimony has been taken with reference to the Specific Plan Amendment and Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact therefor. SECTION 5. The City Council hereby finds that the Amendment to the Cortez Park Specific Plan is consistent with the goals and objectives of the General Plan and adopts said Specific • Plan Amendment, a copy of which is on file in the City Clerk's office and by this reference incorporated herein. SECTION 6. The City Council further finds and determines that the Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact for the pro- ject has been prepared in accordance with the California Environ- mental Impact for the project has been prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 and the State Guidelines and is hereby approved and shall be certified as required by law.
