Resolution - 6118• • • RESOLUTION NO. 6118 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING TO THE ANNEXATION'!, OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY (Southerly Annexation No. 235 - South of Amar Road, and West of Azusa Avenue) The City Council of the City of West Covina does re- solve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby initiates proceedings for the annexation to the City of West Covina of that certain parcel of property contiguous to the City of West Covina and in the uninhabited area of the County of Los Angeles, which is specifically described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. SECTION 2. The owner of the property proposed to be annexed is processing a pre -zoning application in the City of West Covina to develop the property that is proposed to be annexed together with contiguous property owned by him within the City of West Covina for commercial use. The property proposed to be annexed is located southwest of the intersection of Amar Road and Azusa Avenue and can only be developed in conjunction with the contiguous property to the north. SECTION 3. The owner of the property proposed to be annexed has petitioned the City of West Covina to initiate annexation pro- ceedings pursuant to Section 35100 et seq. of the Government Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. The City Clerk and staff are authorized to cooperate with the owner of the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto in the preparation of the necessary forms for submitting the proposed annexation to the Local Agency Formation Commission. SECTION 5. The City. Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 12th day of flan � 1980.
