Resolution - 61170 RESOLUTION NO. 6117 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DETERMINING THAT A SUBSTANTIAL NUMBER OF LOW - AND MODERATE -INCOME FAMILIES ARE NOT TO BE DISPLACED BY THE PROPOSED SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT REDEVELOPMENT PLAN. WHEREAS, the boundaries for the proposed Second Amendment to the Central Business.District Redevelopment Project Area have been selected by the Planning Commission as required by law; and WHEREAS, it is contemplated that all of the property in said Project Area will be used for commercial purposes and that the proposed Second Amend- ment to the Redevelopment Plan does not identify any projects at this time which will force the relocation of any residents; and WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Law provides.that the legis- lative body of a city shall call upon the residents and existing community organizations. in a redevelopment project area in which a substantial number of low- and moderate -income families are to be displaced by a redevelopment project to form a Project Area Committee for said project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is hereby found and deter- mined that, pursuant to the Community Redevelopment Law, a substantial number of low- and moderate -income families are not to be displaced by the proposed Second Amendment to the Central Business District Redevelopment Plan. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. APPROVED and ADOPTED this 12th day of May 1980.
