Resolution - 6075RESOLUTION NO. 6b 5 E A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE COMPEN- SATION PAYABLE TO CLASSIFICATIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF WEST COVINA'S LIMITED SERVICES AND RESCINDING APPENDIX B OF RESOLUTION NO. 5876 AND APPENDIX B OF RESOLUTION NO. 5879. The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That Appendix B,of Resolution No. 5876 is hereby rescinded and superseded by this Resolution. SECTION 2. That Appendix B of Resolution No. 5879 is hereby rescinded and superseded by this Resolution. SECTION 3. That Section VII of Resolution No. 1277 re- lating to wages for limited service positions is hereby amended SECTION 4. Pay rates for sixteen limited service classes shall be increased by nine percent (9%) as listed in Appendix A, attached hereto, and shall be effective the first pay period in March. SECTION 5. Four Police Reserve limited service classi- fications shall receive no increase and maintain current appropri- ate compensation as listed in Appendix A, attached hereto. SECTION 6. Group I, II and III: Begin new employees at X step(except as noted above). Steps Y and Z are awarded after successful completion of 500 hours of work per step. Group IV: Assign as follows: X - Newly employed or assigned. Y - Successful completion of one year at Step "X" plus 200 hours annual non -paid service. Z - Successful completion of one year at Step "Y" plus 200 hours annual non -paid service. Note: An employee, upon promotion to a higher limited service class within the same series, when possible, shall be placed on the step in the new range that results in, an increase in wages.
