Resolution - 3737
WHEREAS, the City of est Covina, on October 12th,
1938, in accordance with Resolution No. 5-2, duly offered and
adopted, made application to the Federal Emergency Administra-
tion of Public Works for a grant of 45% of $45,000.00 to be
used for the purpose of resurfacing streets within its
corpo-rate limits, and
WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Administration of Pub-
lic Tlorks has approved such application, and has made an offer
to -grant to the City of west Covina the sum.of $20,250.00 for
such purpose, on condition that said City of West Covina furn-
ish the required balance of 24,750.00, and
vHEREAS, such offer was duly accepted by the City of
West Covina the 12th day of October, 1938, in accordance with
its said.Resolution No. 32., and -
WHEREAS, said City of West Covina has placed the sum of
$24,750.00 in a Street Improvement Construcion Account: ig 9
Covina National Bank, and has furnished to the Federal Emer-
gency Administration of Public Corks the required certifica-
tion of the Bank of its so doing, and
�JHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of the
Federal Emergency Administration of Public 11[orks, plans and
specifications with underlying documents were presented by the
City of 7Jest Covina and approved by said Federal Emergency
Administration of public Works on the 26th day of Octbber,
1936, and
WHEREAS, approved advertisement for bids have been
made by the City of West Covina in accordance with Section
874 of the Municipal Court Act of the General Laws of the State

California, and duly certified to Federal Emergency Adminis-
tration of Public Works, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with said bids and as a re-
sult thereof, the following bids were received and were opened

the requirements of Bid Forms, the same having been filed vith
the City Clerk,
NOW,THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City of Nest
Covina enter into an agreement with said S. M. Milovich for the
performance of work as is set out in the agreement on file with
the City Clerk of the City of Vest Covina, and.
