The amount of claim had not been determined at time of PtwUIILMIvii. The claimant alleges that her telephone, fax machine and answer machine was damaged as a result of a cable being cut during the traffic signal installation at Amar Road and West Port Street. After a thorough investigation and review of this matter, our staff and the City's claims administrator recommend denial. As all claims should be considered potential lawsuits, it is requested that all p Councilmembers refrain from making specific public comments so as not to prejudice any claim. Specific questions should be referred to the City Attorney. That the; claim of Yolanda Fernandez filed on November 12, 1997, be denied and the claimant be so notified.
