Decision: Approved. Applicant: Goldrich and Kest Industries Location: NEC Grand & Holt Avenues 200 South Grand Avenue Request: A request for a slight modification to allow the proposed residential units to exceed the maximum allowable building height by no more than 4 feet. And also to allow for a desirable roof design in a manner consistent with Precise Plan No. 834 previously approved for the property. Decision: Approved. 7) Acceptance of Improvements and/or Release of Bonds No items scheduled for this meeting. 8) Traffic Committee Minutes Items approved by the Traffic Committee are effective upon approval by the City Council unless an Ordinance or Resolution is needed for the action to be implemented. a) The request of Ms. Morteza Ghandehari for construction of an opening in the raised median island on Vincent Avenue north of Garvey Avenue North was denied. agnda9/1/92 4 0 City Council Agenda September 1, 1992 C) CONSENT CALENDAR (Continued) 8) Traffic Committee Minutes (Continued) b) The City initiated request for an Engineering Traffic Survey for Cortez Street resulted in a recommendation that the speed limit on Cortez Street between Azusa Avenue and Citrus Street be retained at 40 mph. c) The requests of Ms. Lee Clark for installation of multi -way stop signs at the intersections of Fairgrove Avenue and Parkside Drive, Eveningside Drive and Parkside Drive, and Brentwood Drive at Eveningside Drive were denied. However, it was recommended that 15 feet and 20 feet of red curb be installed along the south side of Fairgrove east and west, respectively, of Eveningside Drive. 9) Ordinances for Adoption No items scheduled for this meeting. 10) City Treasurer's Report (Receive and file) City Treasurer's Report for the month of July, 1992. 11) Award of Bids No items scheduled for this meeting. 12) Miscellaneous a) Amendment to the Urban Water Management Plan Public Hearing In compliance with State Law, the City adopted an Urban Water Management Plan in 1991. Recent changes require an Amendment to that Plan to include Water Shortage Contingencies. In order to amend the Plan, it is necessary to first hold a Public Hearing. It is recommended that the City Council review Engineer's Report and set September 15, 1992 as the Public Hearing date. b) Replacement of Mainframe Computer Line Printer The Police Department wishes to replace the mainframe computer line printer, which is eight years old, as part of its' budgeted annual replacement program.
