Miscellaneous Public Works Maintenance District No. 7 - Annual Landscape Contract Renewal This contract provides for the landscape maintenance of 8 acres of developed slope area with ornamental planting and 16 acres of open space natural landscaping along South Hills Drive west of Citrus Avenue. It is recommended that the City Council grant renewal of Aloha Landscape's contract for the coming twelve month period at a 4.6% increase. The ordinance is now before the Council for adoption. It is recommended that Council adopt the following ordinance: ORDINANCE NO. - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE, DIVISION 7, SENIOR CITIZENS' COMMISSION, SECTION 2-133, RELATING TO THE COMPOSITION OF THE SENIOR CITIZENS' COMMISSION. 9) City Treasurer's Report (Receive and file) Report for August, 1991 10) Award of Bids Purchase of One (1) Tractor Mower - Bid No. 92-02 Bids were solicited for the purchase of one (1) Tractor Mower. Upon reviewing the bids received, it is proposed to award the bid to the lowest responsive bidder. It is recommended that the City Council award Bid No. 92-02 for the purchase of one (1) Tractor Mower to the lowest responsive bidder, Western Turf & Commercial Company of Santa Fe Springs in the amount of $48,187.08 including tax. It is recommended that the City Council authorize the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute an Agreement with the Los Angeles County Agricultural Commissioner's Office to provide for continuing ground squirrel control at Galster Park for a cost not to exceed $2,000.00. Motion by 2nd by approve disapprove E) COMMUNITY SERVICES DIVISION 1) Office of Community Services City Office Paper Recycling Project hold over The City Hall office paper recycling project began This is a report on the first 6 months of operation that this report be received and filed. Motion by approve disapprove 2nd by 2) Human Services Department Intercity Transit Transfer Agreement hold over IV in March, 1991. . It is recommended to This agreement between the cities of Covina and West Covina will permit riders of the West Covina Shuttle and the Covina Trolley to transfer from one system to the other at a reduced rate. It is recommended that the City Council authorize the Mayor to execute the Intercity Transfer Agreement between the cities of West Covina and Covina. It is recommended that Council adopt the following resolutions: RESOLUTION NO. - A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM TO EXTEND THE FUNDING PERIOD FOR PRIOR SERVICE ACTUARIAL LIABILITIES FOR THE CITY OF WEST COVINA.
