The project consists of the removal of existing wooden equestrian fences and constructing a new vinyl fence on the north side of Holt Avenue between Grand Avenue and Temple Way and on the south side of Holt Avenue between Temple Way and East City Limit. The project also includes the removal of three trees, a portion of the sidewalk, and all appurtenant work. A notice inviting bids for this project was advertised in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune on December 26, 2006 and on January 2, 2007. In addition, the project was advertised in the Contractor's Green Sheet and in the Daily Construction Service that notifies contractors of upcoming projects in Southern California. The bids for this project were opened in the office of the City Clerk on January 9, 2007. A total of three bids were received, opened, and checked for errors, and all were determined to be valid.
