When recognized, please come forward to the podium and state your name and address for the record. 1) WEST COVINA LANDSCAPING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 6 On June 28, 1989, the City Council approved the report for West Covina Landscaping Maintenance District No. 6. The Council also declared its intention to levy and collect assessments within the district and set July 10, 1989, as the date for the required public hearing. The Council should now hold the required hearing to determine the amount of assessment to levy and collect within the district. (receive and file) b) Control of Rodents in Galster Park - Agreement Renewal This agreement with the Los Angeles County Agricultural Commissioner's Office provides for the continuing control of undesirable rodents at Galster Park. Recommendation is to authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an agreement with the Los Angeles County Agricultural Com- missioner's Office for them to provide for continuing undesirable rodent control at Galster Park for a cost not to exceed $2,000. c) Lot Line Adjustment No. 70 - ISA Financial Corporation and Mr. and Mrs. Meister ISA Financial Corporation - Mr. and Mrs. Meister have requested the approval of a lot line adjustment between their properties. The lot owned by ISA Financial Corp. is an open space lot within Maintenance District No. 6 that is scheduled to be turned over to the City for ownership and maintenance eventually. Recommendation is to request the Planning Department to conduct a public hearing on Lot Line Adjustment No. 70 and recommend an action to the City Council. d) Approve Lot Adjustment No. 69 - Covina Valley Hospital and Lark Ellen Towers Covina Valley Hospital and Lark Ellen Towers have requested lot line adjustment involving their property consisting of two lots. Recommendation is to adopt resolution: RESOLUTION NO. - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING LOT LINE ADJUSTMENT NO. 69 AND DIRECTING THE RECORDATION THEREOF (Covina Valley Hospital and Lark Ellen Towers) 9) Ordinance For Adoption (waive reading and adopt) At the June 26 City Council meeting, an ordinance amending the City's sales and use tax ordinance was introduced and is now before the City Council for final adoption. Staff recommends: a) Authorize the purchase of an Offset Press from Multi - graphics for $11,177.18 plus delivery and processing fees out of this department's 88/89 annual budget, b) Authorize the surplus of the Multigraphics 1250 Press to be used as a trade-in toward the purchase of the Multigraphics 1218 CD Offset Press. 11) Miscellaneous a) 1989/90 Petitions for Formal Recognition - West Covina Communication Operators' Association and West Covina Police Officers' Association This reports presents to the City Council "Petitions for Recognition" for the time period beginning August 1, 1989 and ending July 31, 1990 from the West Covina Communication Operators' Association and the West Covina Police Officers' Association. Recommendation is to grant recognition to the West Covina Police Officers' Association and the West Covina Communication Operators' Association for the specified groups of employees beginning August 1, 1989 and ending July 31, 1990. b) Amendment to the Baldwin Park/West Covina Joint Powers Transit Authoritv Agreement The cities of Baldwin Park and West Covina have approved "Westpark Transit Authority" as the new name of the former Baldwin Park/West Covina Joint Powers Transit Authority. The agreement must be amended to reflect this change.
