A. 5) CLAIMS FOR ACTION (Deny and notify claimant)
a) On November 3, 1983, a claim for personal injuries amounting
to $701.50 was received by the City Clerk's Office from Gloria
Acevedo.
b) On November 4, 1983 and December 16, 1983, claims for personal
injuries were received by the City Clerk's Office from Ray
Morales and Jesus Morales (minor child).. The amount of claims
had not been determined at time of presentation.
c) On December 16, 1983, a claim for personal injuries amounting
to $100,000 was received by the City Clerk's Office from Helen
and Charles Saxton.
d) On November 21, 1983, a claim for damages amounting to $1,396.50
was received by the City Clerk's Office from Hugh Jenings
(Andrew Jenings, minor child).
e) On December 9, 1983, a claim for property damages amounting to
$534.39 was received by the City Clerk's Office from Dorothy
Maclin.
6) ACCEPTANCE OF IMPROVEMENTS AND/OR RELEASE OF BONDS
UNCLASSIFIED USE PERMIT 238 - STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND GRADING -
SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH
Location: North of Holt Avenue and South of Temple Way.
Accept street improvements and acknowledge completion of grading and
authorize release of American Home Assurance Company Faithful Perform-
ance Bond No. 02-95-60-SDA-144 in the amount of $26,200. Staff
recommends acceptance.

of Patrick N. Rossetti, Assessment Engineering Services, for consult-
ing assessment engineering services in an amount not to exceed $27,090
for 1984-85 and $27,090 plus Consumer Price Index adjustments for each
of the subsequent two years in accordance with the proposal dated
January 17, 1984, and authorize the Mayor and .City Clerk to execute
an Agreement with Patrick N. Rossetti, Assessment Engineering Services,
for the Citywide Street Lighting and Landscaping Maintenance District.
