VARIANCE NO. 1017
NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
APPLICANT: Superior Electrical Advertising (Edwards Theatres
Circuit, Inc.)
LOCATION: 195-265 South Glendora Avenue
Applicant is requesting approval of a variance to allow the construction of
a freeway + oriented, freestanding identification sign that exceeds the
maximum allowable height and area. This sign is intended to replace the
blade sign proposed to be attached to the parking structure approved
under Variance No. 1003 b. on October 10, 1995.. The property is zoned
Regional Commercial (R-C).
Motion by � Connolly, seconded by Solinger to adopt findings as
recommended by staff. Motion carried 4-0.
Motion by Connolly, seconded by Solinger to waive further reading of the
body of thel resolution and adopt Resolution No. 1-97-4396, certifying
the Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact for Variance No. 1017,
as amended. Motion carried 4-0.
Motion by Connolly, seconded by Solinger to adopt findings as
recommended by staff.. Motion carried 4-0.
Motion by Connolly, seconded by Solinger to waive further reading of the
body of the Iresolution and adopt Resolution No. 1-97-4397, approving
Variance No. 1017, as amended. Motion carried 4-0.
These actions are final unless appealed to the City Council within 20
days.

Planning Commission approved the variance
