APPROVAL OF SUMMARY OF ACTIONS Regular Meeting of October 9, 2002 Motion by Nance, seconded by Velasquez, to approve the Summary of Actions of October 9, 2002. Motion carried 3-0-1 (Azpeitia abstained.) V. ACTION ITEMS TO CITY COUNCIL OR CITY MANAGER A. CLASS SPECIFICATION — SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER Motion by Azpeitia, seconded by Nance, to approve the class specification for Software Development Manager. Motion carried 4-0. B. CLASS SPECIFICATION — SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER Motion by Azpeitia, seconded by Nance, to approve the class specification for Senior Software Developer. Motion carried 4-0. C. CLASS SPECIFICATION — USER SUPPORT SPECIALIST Motion by Azpeitia, seconded by Higuchi, to approve the class specification for User Support Specialist. Motion carried 4-0. VI. INFORMATIONAL A. Monthly Reports — October and November 2002 The Commissioners received and filed the following reports for the months of October and November 2002: Employment/Separation Report Employee Turnover Report Personnel Recruitments Employee Injuries/Illnesses Pcm 12 02 Personnel Commission — Summary of Actions December 11, 2002 Page 2 VII. STAFF REPORTS/DISCUSSION A. Commission's Workshop and Community Events Budget and Guidelines B. City Departments' Presentations Update — Thomas Bachman, Finance Director, will do a presentation at the January 8, 2003 meeting. C. Employee Donation of Leave Time Policy — Cindi Tompkins stated that we have revised the policy, per the City Council's request; draft is with the City Manager, and staff will bring back at the January 8`hh Commission meeting. VIII. COMMISSION'S COMMENTS Commissioner Azpeitia expressed her compliments to staff on the winter Pest program. IX. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Azpeitia, seconded by Nance, to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 P.M. Motion carried 4-0.
