Non -Agenda Items — None ' APPROVAL OF SUMMARY OF ACTIONS Regular Meeting of October 13, 2004 Commissioner Redholtz requested that Item IX, Commission's Comments, be amended, as follows: The Commissioners expressed concern regarding the short notice (same day notice) on the Big League Dream's "opening ceremonies." Change "opening ceremonies" to "ground breaking." Motion by Redholtz, seconded by Fisher, to approve the Summary of Actions of October 13, 2004, as amended. Motion carried 5-0. VI. ACTION ITEMS TO CITY MANAGER/CITY COUNCIL None VII. INFORMATIONAL - Monthly Reports The Commissioners received and filed the following reports for the month of October 2004: Employment/Separation Report Employee Turnover Report Human Resources Recruitments Employee Injuries/Illnesses Human Resources Commission — Summary of Actions November 10, 2004 Page 2 VIII. STAFF REPORTS/DISCUSSION (Follow-up) In response to the Commission's concerns regarding the Rideshare Incentive Program drawings, Gardner reported that the City's Rideshare incentives are funded by Air Quality AB939 funds (no General Fund), and are approved according to the guidelines of the South Coast Air Quality Management Plan. IX. COMMISSION'S COMMENTS .Commissioner Velasquez asked about the City's Ambulance Response Policy as it relates to the School District and the District's practice to have a private ambulance on site for football games. Staff to follow up. Commissioner Redholtz requested that the hire date for those terminated be included on the Employment/Separation Report. Staff to follow up. He also requested that the Commission receive copies of any staff reports that go to the City Council that pertain to Human Resources. Commissioner Fisher requested that the Commission receive the new forms at the next meeting that were implemented regarding Maintenance Department operations. Staff to follow up. Commissioner Velasquez requested that'staffprovide per capita data; specifically, total full- time staff per population of the City's labor market. . X. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Higuchi, seconded by Redholtz, to adjourn the meeting at 7:10 P.M. Motion carried 5-0. The next regular meeting of the Human Resources Commission is scheduled for Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at 6:30 P.M.
