Motion by Higuchi, seconded by Redholtz, ','to approve the Disability Retirement
for a Fire Captain. Motion carried 5-0.

Motion by Redholtz, seconded by Fisher, to approve,,the Summary of Actions of
October 8, 2003. Motion carried 5-0.

Classification Specification — Fire Chief
Mr. Fields stated that the City Council did not take action on this item at their December 9,
2003 meeting. Therefore, staff is requesting that this item be carried over.

Commissioner Redholtz stated that he attended the November Lieber Cassidy Whitmore
workshop on personnel issues and found it to be very informative.

Motion by Fisher, seconded by Higuchi, to adjourn the meeting at 7:27 P.M. Motion
carried 5-0. The next regular meeting of the Human Resources Commission is scheduled
to be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2003, at 6:30 P.M.
