WASTE MANAGEMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL
QUALITY COMMISSION - DUTIES

This is an ordinance implementing the City
Council's approved changes to the duties of the
Waste Management and Environmental Quality
Commission.
On January 19, 1993, the City Council approved the recommendation
of the Waste Management and Environmental Quality Commission to
modify the Municipal Code relating to their duties. The specific
changes related to clarifying the Commision's role on environmental
and waste management matters in the City. The City Council action
also included a change in the City staff position title that is the
Secretary to the Commission. The attached Ordinance reflects the
City Council's approved changes.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended to City Council to enact the approved changes in
duties by the introduction of the following:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE, CHAPTER
2, ARTICLE III, DIVISION 6 AS IT RELATES TO THE DUTIES OF THE
WASTE MANAGEMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY COMMISSION.
