RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council provide staff with direction.
DISCUSSION:
At the December 16, 2003 Council meeting, staff was directed to meet with Athens Services to
see if:they would support the Council option on eliminating Multi -Family rates. Staff met and
no further progress was made.
Athens will support any option the City Council wishes as long as it makes them whole. ';,Athens
would prefer any option having a three (3) year transition to be accomplished in one year.
Attached is copy of the previous City Council staff report dated December 16, 2003 on this
subject listing all the previous options for Council's consideration. Also attached are the updated
Rate Surveys conducted by Staff.
