SUBJECT: REQUEST FROM MAYOR ROGER HERNANDEZ REQUESTING THE
CITY COUNCIL CONSIDER AIRING CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS USING
ANTICIPATED DONATIONS FROM THE COMMUNITY
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council direct staff accordingly.
DISCUSSION:
Per the City Council Standing Rules, Mayor Roger Hernandez is seeking the City Council's
consensus to instruct staff to prepare a staff report on'the necessary steps and costs to air the City
Council meetings live on cable television. Mayor Hernandez is proposing to fund the costs from
anticipated donations from the community. At this time, City staff has not been informed of whom
the potential donor is, the dollar amount of the donation, or under what conditions and donation
would be made under.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Any fiscal impact will be dependent on direction taken by the City Council.
