SUMMARY: Due to a resignation, there is currently one vacancy for on the Community
Services Commission.
DISCUSSION
At the January 20, 1998 meeting, the City Council approved the Subcommittee to make a
recommendation to the Council to fill the vacancy on the Community Services
Commission which expires June 30, 1998.
Staff provided the Subcommittee members, Mayor Pro Tem Melendez and Council
Member Kathy Howard, copies of applications from the four candidates who applied
during the last recruitment cycle. The names of the candidates are: Jeannette Duvall -
Ward, Darrel Higuchi, Winnie Lewis, and Helen Redondo.
RECOMMENDATION
If the City Council desires to make an appointment to the Community Services
Commission, it may be made by the adoption of the following resolution:

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby appoint to the
Community Services Commission to a fill a vacant office expiring June 30, 1998.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and
shall transmit a certified copy thereof to
