RECOMMENDATION:
R It is recommended that the City Council ratify the appointments made by the Mayor to the Walk of Fame Committee as contained within this report.
DISCUSSION:
In 2008, the City Council created the West Covina “Walk of Fame” at the Big League Dreams Sportsplex that features the names of West Covina athletes, coaches, and volunteers that have
contributed to making West Covina a better place to live, work, and play. Honorees must have exhibited high ethical standards in their respective athletic fields and in the community.

Two City Council Members; City Manager or his designee; Representative of West Covina Sports League; Representative from Big League Dreams; At-Large member appointed by the City Council;
and a member of City staff. The Walk of Fame Committee evaluates and selects the honorees to be honored each fall. The 2012 Walk of Fame Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, November
