SUBJECT: REQUEST FROM COUNCILMEMBER MICHAEL TOUHEY REQUESTING THE CITY COUNCIL’S CONSENSUS TO INSTRUCT CITY STAFF TO STUDY THE POSSIBILITY OF CONSTRUCTING THE FOOTHILL TRANSIT PARKING
STRUCTURE AT THE WESTFIELD SHOPPING CENTER
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council direct staff accordingly.
DISCUSSION:
Per the City Council Standing Rules, Councilmember Michael Touhey is seeking the City Council’s consensus to instruct City staff to prepare a staff report to study the possibility of
constructing the Foothill Transit parking structure at the Westfield Shopping Center.
At the October 19, 2010, City Council Meeting, Councilmember Touhey identified the South Westfield parking lot between Margarita Jones and Firestone Tires, along West Covina Parkway,
as the location he would like to have studied.
