AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 4.5-7 (b) OF THE WEST COVINA
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO FALSE ALARM PREVENTION SERVICE FEES.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 4.5-7 (b) of the West Covina Municipal Code
is amended to read as follows:
(b) Upon receipt of the fifth and subsequent false alarm within
any 365-day period, the alarm owner or lessee shall pay a service
fee established by resolution of the City Council for each false
alarm to which the police respond.
SECTION 2. Effective date. This ordinance shall be effective
thirty (30) days from the date of adoption. The City Clerk shall publish this
ordinance as required by law.
