REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIF.
January 9, 1984
The regular meeting,of the City Council of the.City.of West Covina was called to
order by Mayor Chappell at 7:30 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1444 W.
Garvey Avenue, West Covina,. California. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by the
Mayor and the invocation was given by Rev. Dennis Nelson of Christ Lutheran Church.

COUNCILEMBERS' REPORTS Councilmember Tice.requested"the'City.Attorney to research
current vagrancy laws. He also note& his disagreement with
Councilmember Tice comments made by Councilmember Tennant reported in articles
printed in the Tribune regarding the landfill and Equidon
project.
Councilmember Shearer
'Councilmember Shearer agreed with Tice's comments regarding
an incident that occurred on.Friday, December 30, 1983.
Mayor Chappell reminded the audience that council is
responsible for all the citizens.in West Covina.
