PRESENTATIONS
In honor of the Girl Scout's 68th anniversary, Mayor Chappell
proclaimed March 9 through 15, 1980 as GIRL SCOUT WEEK and
presented the proclamation to the representatives from the
Girl Scouts.

Mayor.Chappell opened the -hearing for public input.
There being-no'one'interested'in addressing Council, Mayor
Chappell closed the public portion of the hearing.
Council comments followed. Councilman Shearer stated
that in his opinion the applicant or developers on com-
mercial property on Azusa Avenue should pay fully for the
cul-de-sacing and that•it.would be his intention not to
vote in support of any action otherwise. Diaz commented
a reimbursement agreement would handle the other commercial
lots involved to pay their fair share.of the costs.

1) Staff is in the process of soliciting sealed bids for the
Azusa/Norma City property which the Council has already
declared surplus.
2) Fast presented a summary of the damage throughout the City
caused by the recent storms. All members of the Council
recognized .the outstanding efforst of the staff during the
storms and personnaly recognized Morrie Wolff for his
remarkable- service
l) Mayor Chappell, announced the appointment of Lela Preston.,
..former City Clerk of 14est Covina, as the City's nominee
:for the County's Older American Recognition Program.
